Hi, I'm Liz!

My personal mission is to enable more women to take on leadership roles - at every level, in every arena.

I help women who are new leaders navigate the “buts”, “shoulds”, excuses and self-doubt to embrace their innate strengths, build confidence, and grow their skills so they can lead confidently - and change the world.

My lifelong passion is to help people grow. I bring a deep curiosity, contagious enthusiasm, and a playful spirit to coaching. I specialize in helping my clients take meaningful action to achieve their goals.

I felt like an imposter in my first leadership role.

If that sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

I understand because when I was promoted into my first manager role, I was super confident…

...until I stood in front of my team for the first time.

*Cue the flight/fight/freeze response.*

I had read all the books, taken all the leadership assessments, and had plenty of ideas about how I thought it should go. But when faced with the responsibility of leading 12 young people, I realized that books, assessments, and ideas are only helpful when you put them into practice.

I had a ton of self-doubt that I could actually do the job.

Maybe you’ve been there too - hearing that judgy voice in your head:

“why did you think you were ready for this???"

I made plenty of mistakes. I learned some lessons the hard way - yes, I should have fired that employee sooner; maybe I micromanaged that project and didn’t give my team enough ownership to really care about it; I tried doing everything myself so as not to burden my team…until I burned out.

I can help you learn from my mistakes and work toward balance, not burn out.

Despite having a strong mentor, I struggled to find my footing.

I was the Goldilocks of leadership styles. Too tough, too soft, etc.

I got lots of bad advice and saw lots bad examples of leadership that made me think -

am I really cut out for leadership if THAT’s what it looks like to be a successful leader?

With all that noise, it’s hard to find your own footing and discover the leadership style that actually fits.

I finally discovered that I didn’t have to be “authoritative” or “laissez-faire” and I could just be ME and everything clicked. It was leveraging my innate strengths and talents that helped me find my footing and led to 20+ years of leadership success.

It took me 3 years to find my footing as a new leader.

I can help you get there faster.

I’ve led people in teams, projects, and volunteer work across many sectors - nonprofit, education, startups, large corporations, and now in my own business. With each new role, I’ve had that dip in confidence - new and greater responsibilities came with new challenges and required me to adjust. Leveraging my unique leadership style - my innate strengths, talents, and learning from experience - was the key to success every time.

Not trying to be like the stuffy old guy who thought throwing chairs was “good leadership.”

If you’re tired of twisting into a pretzel to fit outdated definitions of what a leader “looks like” - let's talk!
